 Dell Vostro 1015 is the new entry to the Budget-Conscious Vostro line of laptops. It succeeds the Vostro A860 which was a very popular entry level model. Price: £325

What we liked:
At £325 the Vostro is the lowest cost laptop in the market with built-in webcam and Windows 7 Home Premium. The 6 Cell battery and built-in Bluetooth are nice extras. The build has a much more robust feel to it than the Insprion 15. Business customers will like the LED backlit non-glare screen which is much better for text than the standard glare screens found on most other laptops. Connectivity is also well thought out, with 4 USB ports and a Firewire port . With 2 year warranty as standard, the value for money factor is definitely there.
What we didn't like:
The Vostro 1015 is perfect for office applications and the internet. But if you need a laptop to play games, or for design work, it's best to consider a laptop with a dual core processor and more RAM.
